Deborah DeSnoo has located the star of Kiku to Isamu, Takahashi Emiko, now living in Kita City, Tokyo.
We have began discussion with her about her participation in the documentary about the making of the film and the social landscape that brought the film into production. Emi is a professional singer who does concerts every year and is surrounded by a supportive community of musicians and artists. George Okunoyama is living in Osaka and has also been in the music business.
It all started with a screening of the film Kiku to Isamu at Chicago Filmmakers in July,2020 In conversation about this film, Deborah helped Floyd locate a digital print of the film. In the course of arranging the screening, they became curious about the fate of the actors after the film was completed.
